2013–14 División De Honor De Waterpolo
The 2013–14 season of the División de Honor de Waterpolo is the 91st season of top-tier water polo in Spain since its inception in 1925. The season comprises regular season and championship playoff. Regular season started in October 2013 and finished on April 26, 2014. Top eight teams at standings play championship playoff. Championship playoff will begin on 7 May with semifinals, with winners advancing to Final. Atlètic-Barceloneta won its ninth title in a row (14 in total) after defeating CN Terrassa 3–0 in the Championship Finals. Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive sport, competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the water polo ball, ball into the opposing team's goal (sport), goal. The team with more goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one Goalkeeper (water polo), goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep swimming pool, pool where players cannot touch the bottom. A game consists mainly of the players swimming to move about the pool, treading water (mainly using the eggbeater kick), passing the ball, and shooting at the goal. Mataró () is the capital and largest town of the Maresme county in Catalonia, Spain.
