2013–14 Detroit Titans Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Detroit Titans men's basketball team represented the University of Detroit Mercy in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Ray McCallum. The Titans played their home games at Calihan Hall and were members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 13–19, 6–10 in Horizon League play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They lost in the first round of the Horizon League tournament to Milwaukee. Ray McCallum
Ray Michael McCallum Sr. (born March 6, 1961) is an American college basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach for Tulane. He previously served as the head coach for the men's basketball team at the University of Detroit Mercy. He is also a former player and head coach of Ball State University. From 2016 to 2018 McCallum served as assistant coach at Georgia State. Previously, he also served as an assistant coach at Oklahoma and Indiana. McCallum won Indiana High School Athletic Association Championships in both his junior and senior year at Muncie Central High School. At Ball State he scored 2,109 points during his career and was Player of the Year in the Mid-American Conference his senior year. Savage Arena
Savage Arena (formerly John F. Savage Hall and Centennial Hall) is a multi-purpose arena located in Toledo, Ohio, on the campus of the University of Toledo. The arena opened in 1976 and originally seated 9,000 for basketball and up to 10,000 for concerts. Yuengling Center (formerly the USF Sun Dome) is an indoor arena on the main campus of the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida. The 2013–14 South Florida Bulls men's basketball team represented the University of South Florida Bulls during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was the 43rd season of Basketball for USF, and the first as a member of the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls were coached by Stan Heath, who was in his seventh season. The Bulls played home games at the USF Sun Dome. They finished the season 12–20, 3–15 in AAC play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the AAC tournament to Rutgers. WADL (channel 38) is a television station licensed to Mount Clemens, Michigan, United States, serving the Detroit area as an affiliate of MyNetworkTV. Locally owned by the Adell Broadcasting Corporation, the station maintains studios and transmitter facilities on Adell Drive in Clinton Township. The 2013–14 Toledo Rockets men's basketball team represented the University of Toledo during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rockets, led by fourth year head coach Tod Kowalczyk, played their home games at the Savage Arena as members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. After sitting out the postseason in 2012–13 due to low APR scores, the Rockets became eligible for the MAC and NCAA Tournaments in 2013–14. The Empire Classic, formerly known as the 2K Sports Classic, is an annual college basketball event played in November at the beginning of the season and televised by ESPN. Originally known as the Atlantic City Shootout and produced by the Gazelle Group, Inc., the event was first played in 1995. The following year, it became the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic as a collaboration between the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society in an effort to raise funds for cancer research. In 2012, the tournament beneficiary became Wounded Warrior Project, resulting in the tournament being renamed the 2K Sports Classic.
