2013 USL Pro Season
The 2013 USL Pro season was the 27th season of third-division soccer in the United States and is the third season of the United Soccer Leagues' (USL) PRO professional competition. The number of teams increased from eleven to thirteen with Phoenix FC and VSI Tampa Bay FC joining the league as expansion franchises. USL Pro
The USL Championship (USLC) is a men's professional soccer league in the second tier of the United States league system. It is organized by the United Soccer League (USL) as its premier league for men above USL League One. Operating under a franchise model, 24 teams divided between the league's Eastern and Western conferences compete in an annual round-robin regular season, lasting from spring to fall. At the end of the season, the top team overall wins the ''Players' Shield'', while the top eight teams in each conference advance to a playoff tournament culminating in the USL Championship final, which determines the champion. The league's teams also simultaneously compete in the U.S. Open Cup and USL Cup. Dayton Dutch Lions
The Dayton Dutch Lions are an American soccer team based in Dayton, Ohio, United States. Founded in 2009, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. From 2011 to 2014, the team played in the USL Professional Division (USL Pro). They are the American feeder team for Dutch team FC Twente. The team plays its home games at the Dayton Outpatient Center Stadium on the campus of West Carrollton High School in nearby West Carrollton, Ohio. The team's colors are orange, white and blue. History The club was started in the fall of 2009 and co-owned by Erik Tammer of Tammer Sportmanagement and Mike Mossel of Business and Sports Performance. Beavercreek High School
Beavercreek High School is a public high school in Beavercreek, Ohio. The high school is part of Beavercreek City School District. The high school has an enrollment of more than 2,300 students. The high school campus consists of Ferguson Hall, a free-standing building that houses the ninth-grade students, and the main building, which accommodates the remaining grades (10–12). MUSC Health Stadium was a soccer-specific stadium located in the Daniel Island area of Charleston, South Carolina that served as the home of the Charleston Battery of the USL Championship. Originally named "Blackbaud Stadium", the stadium was opened in 1999. At the time, Blackbaud was the first modern-era stadium in the United States designed for specifically soccer, as Columbus Crew Stadium opened after Blackbaud later that the same year.
