Sarah Kathryn Hammer (born August 18, 1983) is an American former professional racing cyclist and four-times Olympic silver medalist. With eight world championships, she has been called, "America's most decorated track athlete." Hammer announced her retirement from professional Cycling on September 23, 2017. Career Hammer is five-times a champion (2006, 2007, 2010, 2011 & 2013) in the individual pursuit and twice a champion (2013 & 2014) in the omnium at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Hammer finished fifth overall in the individual pursuit and did not finish in the points race. Melissa Hoskins
Melissa Hoskins (24 February 1991 – 31 December 2023) was an Australian track and road racing cyclist, who topped the general classification in the 2012 Tour of Chongming Island. She was a member of the Australian track cycling team pursuit team that finished in fourth place at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Hoskins announced her retirement from professional cycling on 2 May 2017. On 31 December 2023, Hoskins and her husband, fellow cyclist Rohan Dennis, had been in an argument regarding kitchen renovations in their home. Dennis left the house in the family vehicle in an attempt to de-escalate the situation, but Hoskins followed him out and grabbed the handle of the car in an attempt to prevent him from leaving. Giorgia Bronzini (born 3 August 1983) is an Italian former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2003 and 2017. She won the women's road race in the UCI Road World Championships in both 2010 and 2011 and the women's points race in the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in 2009. 2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The 2013 UCI Track Cycling World Championships took place in Minsk, Belarus from 20 to 24 February 2013 in the Minsk-Arena. The Championships featured 19 events, the same as 2012. Great Britain, with five gold medals (four in Olympic events), and nine in total topped the medal table. Australia, Germany, France, the United States and Ireland all enjoyed a successful championships. Becky James of Great Britain, debuting at this level, won four medals, including two gold, in a single Championships, the first British cyclist to do so.
