2013 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers Men's Soccer Team
The 2013 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers men's soccer team represented St. Francis College during the 2013 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Terrier's home games were played at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the inaugural season of the field. Last year, the team played at the Aviator Sports Complex. The team has been a member of the Northeast Conference since 1981 and is coached by Tom Giovatto, who is in his seventh year at the helm of the Terriers. In 2013, St. Francis went on to win at least 10 games for the 4th time in 7 years under head coach Tom Giovatto and qualified for the Northeast Conference Tournament with the 4th seed for the 11th time in their history. The Terriers defeated 1st seed Central Connecticut State 2–0 in the semifinals and defeated 3rd seed Bryant 3–2 in overtime for the Championship. Tom Giovatto
Tom Giovatto is an American retired soccer player and the former head coach the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers men's soccer team. Early life Giovatto attended Xavier High School (New York City), Xavier High School where he played forward on the soccer team. He then got a scholarship to play at Iona College (New York), Iona College and graduated in 1997 receiving a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. Coaching On August 22, 2007, Giovatto was appointed just the fourth head coach in the history of the St. Francis Brooklyn men's soccer program. Since joining the program, he has led St. Francis Brooklyn to seven winning seasons, three NCAA Tournaments, and three NEC Tournament Championships. Giovatto's squads have been nationally ranked and he has helped coach two All-Americans, Kevin Correa and Vincent Bezecourt. The Saint Peter's Peacocks are the sixteen intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Saint Peter's University, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. The Peacocks compete in the NCAA Division I and are founding members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). NJIT Highlanders Men's Soccer
The NJIT Highlanders, formerly the New Jersey Tech Highlanders, are the varsity sport members of the Division I NCAA-affiliated sports teams of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Gaelic Park () is a multi-purpose outdoor athletics facility, located at West 240th Street and Broadway in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx in New York City, New York, United States. Since 1926 the grounds has been used as the venue for Gaelic games in New York, and since its purchase by Manhattan University in 1991 it has hosted numerous American college athletic events.
