The ''Liguilla'' () of the 2012–13 Liga MX season#Torneo Clausura, 2013 Liga MX Clausura is the final knockout tournament involving eight teams of Liga MX. The tournament began on 8 May 2013 and will end on 26 May 2013. The winners and runners-up of the competition will qualify for the 2013–14 CONCACAF Champions League. Liga MX
Liga MX, also known as Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Mexico and the highest level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Liga Mayor (1943–1949) and also as Primera División de México (1949–2012), it has 18 participating clubs, with each season divided into two short tournaments, ''Apertura'' from July to December and ''Clausura'' from January to May. The champions are decided by a final phase called ''"liguilla"''. Since 2020, promotion and relegation has been suspended, which is to last until 2026. Marcos Ignacio "Nacho" Ambriz Espinoza (born 7 February 1965) is a Mexican professional manager and former footballer. Playing career Playing for various clubs in Mexico, Ambríz is closely associated with Club Necaxa, a club he had three spells with, and was part of two championship-winning seasons in 1994–95 and 1995–96. Darío Anastacio Verón Maldonado (born 26 July 1979) is a Paraguayan former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He also holds Mexican citizenship. Verón spent the majority of his playing career with Universidad Nacional, where he holds the record for most appearances. Oswaldo Javier Sánchez Ibarra (; born 21 September 1973) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper and a sports analyst for TUDN. Gerardo Torrado Díez de Bonilla (born 30 April 1979) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.
