2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League Round 2
The 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League Round 2 was held from February to March 2013. A total of 22 teams competed in 4 events were part in this round of the tournament playing for 8 berths in the 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League Semifinals, Semifinals, played in June 2013. Qualification 8 teams ranked between 9th and 16th in the FIH World Rankings current at the time of seeking entries for the competition qualified automatically. As Canada women's national field hockey team, Canada and Ukraine women's national field hockey team, Ukraine withdrew from participating, only 13 teams qualified from 2012–13 Women's FIH Hockey World League Round 1, Round 1. Additionally one nation that did not meet ranking criteria and was exempt from Round 1 hosted a Round 2 tournament. Pietie Coetzee
Pietie Coetzee-Turner (née Coetzee; born 2 September 1978) is a field hockey player from South Africa who was born in Bloemfontein. she studied at the Rand Afrikaans University in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and represented her country at the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2000, 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004 and 2012 Summer Olympics. A striker, Coetzee played club hockey with Amsterdam, Netherlands in the late 1990s. She made her international senior debut for the South African Women's Team in 1995 against Spain during the Atlanta Challenge Cup in Atlanta, Georgia. She was named the ''South African Hockey Player of the Year'' in 1997 and in 2002. Coetzee was the top goal scorer at the 2002 Women's Hockey World Cup held in Perth, Western Australia, where South Africa finished in 13th position.
