2012–13 Winnipeg Jets Season
The 2012–13 Winnipeg Jets season was the 14th season for the National Hockey League franchise and the second in Winnipeg. The franchise played in Atlanta since the 1999–2000 NHL season, and relocated to Winnipeg following the conclusion of the 2010–11 NHL season. The regular season was reduced from its usual 82 games to 48 due to a lockout. The Jets finished four points short of a playoff spot, finishing 2nd in the Southeast Division (to Washington) that saw them lose the last two games of the season. Eastern Conference (NHL)
The Eastern Conference () is one of two conferences in the National Hockey League (NHL) used to divide teams. Its counterpart is the Western Conference (NHL), Western Conference. History Originally named the Prince of Wales Conference (or Wales Conference for short), it was created in 1974–75 NHL season, 1974 when the NHL realigned its teams into two conferences and four divisions. Because the new conferences and divisions had little to do with North American geography, geographical references were removed. The Prince of Wales Trophy dates back to 1925, when it was donated to the League by the Prince of Wales, who later became Edward VIII, King Edward VIII and then the Duke of Windsor. New Jersey Devils
The New Jersey Devils are a professional ice hockey team based in Newark, New Jersey. The Devils compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference. The club was founded as the Kansas City Scouts in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1974–75 NHL season, 1974. Tomáš Kubalík
Tomáš Kubalík (born May 1, 1990) is a Czech professional ice hockey forward who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He is the older brother to Dominik Kubalik who also plays professionally. Playing career As a youth, Kubalik played in the 2003 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a team from Chomutov. He later played with HC Plzeň 1929, before graduating to play three seasons with the men's team in the professional Czech Extraliga. Spencer Machacek
Spencer Machacek (born October 14, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently under contract to Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Junior Machacek began his major junior career in 2005–06 with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He recorded 45 points in each of his first two seasons, playing an integral part in the Giants' 2006 President's Cup and 2007 Memorial Cup championships. Alexei Ponikarovsky (, ''Oleksiy Volodymyrovych Ponikarovskyi''; born 9 April 1980) is a Ukrainian–Canadian former professional ice hockey Winger (ice hockey), left winger. Eric Tangradi (born February 10, 1989) is an American former professional ice hockey left winger. He played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils, and Barys Nur-Sultan in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Jonas Gustavsson (; born 24 October 1984), also known by his nickname the Monster, is a Swedish former professional ice hockey goaltender.
