Southend-on-Sea (), commonly referred to as Southend (), is a coastal city and unitary authorities of England, unitary authority area with Borough status in the United Kingdom, borough status in south-eastern Essex, England. It lies on the north side of the Thames Estuary, east of central London. It is bordered to the north by Rochford (district), Rochford and to the west by Castle Point. Anthony Straker
Anthony Othneal Straker (born 23 September 1988) is a former semi-professional footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. He has also been capped on ten occasions by the Grenada national football team. Club career Born in Ealing, London, Straker started his career in the youth system at Crystal Palace, and was a trainee with the club. He went on trial with League One club Yeovil Town in March 2007 before being released by Palace. Straker signed a one-year contract with Conference Premier club Aldershot Town on 6 August 2007, after a successful pre-season trial. Daniel Ian Bentley (born 13 July 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has played in the English Football League for Southend United, Brentford and Bristol City. Career Southend United Bentley was born in Basildon, Essex and began his career as a centre back with hometown club Hutton Medway. A one-off appearance as a goalkeeper was witnessed by an Arsenal scout, who brought Bentley to the club's academy at age eight. He was released in 2008 and quickly signed for Southend United, with whom he started his apprenticeship in March 2009. Bentley was sent out on loan to Conference South club Braintree Town initially on cover for one match. Luke Prosser
Luke Barrie Prosser (born 28 May 1988) is an English former professional footballer last played as a defender. He scored 17 goals in 423 league and cup appearances in a 15-year career. A product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy, Prosser joined Port Vale in 2005. He spent five years at the club, also spending time on loan at Leigh RMI, Salisbury City, and Kidderminster Harriers. He moved on to Southend United in 2010, and was initially loaned out to Rushden & Diamonds. He played for Southend in the 2013 Football League Trophy final and was an unused substitute in the 2015 League Two play-off final victory. Jonson Scott Clarke-Harris (born 21 July 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for side Rotherham United. Barry Corr (born 2 April 1985) is an Irish football coach and former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is currently assistant head coach at Cambridge United. Club career Early career Corr started his career at St. Anthony's, Kilcoole before moving to Leeds United. After four years at Leeds he moved to Sheffield Wednesday. Michael Timlin
Michael Anthony Timlin (born 19 March 1985) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League South club Dulwich Hamlet. Born in Lambeth, England, Timlin graduated through the Fulham Academy, making his debut in a League Cup game in 2004.
