Peterborough ( ) is a cathedral city in the City of Peterborough district in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. The city is north of London, on the River Nene. As of the 2021 census, Peterborough had a population of 192,178, while the population of the district was 215,673. Human settlement in the area began before the Bronze Age, as can be seen at the Flag Fen archaeological site to the east of the city centre. There is evidence of Roman occupation. Danny Swanson
Daniel Joseph Swanson (born 28 December 1986) is a Scottish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for club Cowdenbeath Swanson started his career at Scottish Third Division side Berwick Rangers before moving to Scottish Premier League club Dundee United in 2008. He moved to England in 2012 to play for Peterborough United. After two years with Peterborough he signed for Coventry City, but he then moved back to Scotland on loan at St Johnstone. The captain of a football/soccer team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. Shaun Richard Brisley (born 6 May 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for club Matlock Town He began his career at Macclesfield Town. Craig Alcock
Craig Alcock (born 8 December 1987) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Having begun his career at Yeovil Town he spent time on loan at Weston-super-Mare, Taunton Town and Tiverton Town before moving to Peterborough United. Alcock then played for Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers and Cheltenham Town. Following a return to Yeovil Town and a stint at Harlow Town, he retired from playing in 2022. Robert Olejnik (born 26 November 1986) is an Austrian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Emile Anthony Sinclair (born 29 December 1987) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays as a striker. Career Nottingham Forest Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Sinclair started his career with Bradford City's youth system in 2005 before being released and signing for Nottingham Forest in 2006.
