2012–13 North Carolina Tar Heels Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Roy Williams, who is in his 10th season as UNC's head men's basketball coach. They played their home games at the Dean E. Smith Center and were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 25–11, 12–6 in ACC play to finish in third place. They advanced to the championship game of the ACC tournament where they lost to Miami (FL). Roy Williams (coach)
Roy Allen Williams (born August 1, 1950) is an American retired college basketball coach who served as the men's head coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball, North Carolina Tar Heels for 18 seasons and the Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball, Kansas Jayhawks for 15 seasons. He was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. Williams started his college coaching career at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina as an assistant coach for Dean Smith in 1978. Four years later, North Carolina won the national championship. Tyler Zeller
Tyler Paul Zeller (born January 17, 1990) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels. As a freshman, he played on their 2009 national championship team and as a senior was an All-American and the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year. He is the nephew of former NBA player Al Eberhard, and the brother of fellow NBA players Cody Zeller and Luke Zeller. Early life Born in Visalia, California, Tyler Zeller grew up in Washington, Indiana, attending Washington High School. Brice Johnson
Jonathan Brice Johnson (born June 27, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Nelson Giants of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He played college basketball for North Carolina, graduating in 2016. He was selected in the first round (25th pick overall) by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2016 NBA draft. Linn-Mar High School
Linn-Mar High School is a public high school, part of the Linn-Mar Community School District. It serves students in grades 9 through 12 and is located in Marion, Iowa. History Linn-Mar High School opened in the fall of 1959. It was built at a cost of $243,325 and housed 177 students when it opened. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Marcus Paige
Marcus Taylor Paige (born September 11, 1993) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He played college basketball for the University of North Carolina, where he helped lead the Tar Heels to the 2016 NCAA championship game, and now serves as an assistant coach at his alma mater. In addition to being a citizen of the United States, Paige also has Serbian citizenship.
