2012–13 Iowa Hawkeyes Women's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball team represented the University of Iowa during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Hawkeyes, led by thirteenth-year head coach Lisa Bluder, played their home games at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena and were members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished with an overall record of 21–13 (8–8 Big Ten) to finish 7th in the conference standings. They lost in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Big Ten Conference women's basketball tournament to Nebraska. Iowa received an at-large bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament where they defeated Miami (FL) in the first round before getting defeated by No. 2 and eventual Final Four participant Notre Dame in the second round. Lisa Bluder
Lisa Marie Bluder (, born April 16, 1961) is the former head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball, Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball program. Formerly, she served as coach of St. Ambrose University and the Drake Bulldogs women's basketball, Drake Bulldogs. Bluder notably led Iowa to two NCAA national championship games, in 2023 NCAA Division I women's basketball championship game, 2023 and 2024 NCAA Division I women's basketball championship game, 2024. During this time, Bluder led the program through the Caitlin Clark era, which was characterized with an intense and explosive rise in popularity for women's basketball, NCAA Division I Women's Basketball, particularly Caitlin Clark effect, due to Clark's play. Rockton, Illinois
Rockton is a village in Winnebago County, Illinois. It is located in the Rock River Valley and is part of the Rockford metropolitan area. Sears Centre Arena
The Now Arena (originally known as the Sears Centre, Sears Centre Arena and stylized as NOW Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, a northwest suburb from Chicago, near land which formerly contained the Poplar Creek Music Theater. Since 2016, the arena has been home to the Windy City Bulls, the Chicago Bulls' affiliate in the NBA G League. Bob Devaney Sports Center
The Bob Devaney Sports Center (commonly referred to as the Devaney Center) is a sports complex on the campus of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska. The facility, opened in 1976 as the NU Sports Complex, was named for football coach and athletic director Bob Devaney in 1978, and its main arena was dedicated as John Cook Arena in 2025. The facility was built to replace the smaller NU Coliseum as the university's primary indoor athletic venue. It hosted men's and women's basketball for thirty-seven years until both programs moved off campus in 2013. Samantha Logic
Samantha Logic (born October 22, 1992) is an American former basketball player. She played college basketball at the University of Iowa. A 5'9" point guard from Racine, Wisconsin, Logic played for the Hawkeyes from 2011 to 2015, earning All-American honors in her senior season. She was named a third-team All-American by the Associated Press and a first-team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers Association after averaging 13.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game.
