2012–13 Euroleague
The 2012–13 Euroleague was the 13th season of the modern era of Euroleague Basketball and the third under the title sponsorship of the Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 56th season of the premier competition for European men's clubs. The season started on 11 October 2012 and finished on 12 May 2013. The Final Four was held at The O2 Arena in London. The championship game was won by Olympiacos B.C., Olympiacos, who defeated Real Madrid Baloncesto, Real Madrid 100–88. Olympiacos became the third team since the introduction of the Euroleague Final Four, Final Four format to win two Euroleague championships in a row and the second team in Euroleague Basketball Company era (2000–01 Euroleague, 2000–01 Euroleague season to present) to become back-to-back Euroleague champions. 2011–12 Euroleague
The 2011–12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague was the 12th season of the modern era of Euroleague and the second under the title sponsorship of Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 55th season of the premier competition for European men's clubs. The Final Four was held at the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul, in 11–13 May 2012. It was won by the Piraeus club Olympiacos (2nd title), who defeated CSKA Moscow in the championship game. Arka Gdynia, also known as AMW Arka Gdynia for sponsorship reasons, is a Polish professional basketball team, based in Gdynia. The team plays in the Polish PLK. The club's sponsorship name comes from Akademią Marynarki Wojennej. Basketball Club Žalgiris () commonly known as BC Žalgiris, is a professional basketball club based in Kaunas, Lithuania. They compete domestically in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, Lithuanian Basketball League (''Lietuvos krepšinio lyga'') and internationally as a long-term licensed EuroLeague team. 2011–12 Eurocup Basketball
The 2011–12 Eurocup Basketball season was the tenth edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one level below the EuroLeague. It ran from September 27, 2011, until April 15, 2012. The winner of this competition earned a place at the group stage of the next season's EuroLeague. Teams allocation Distribution 32 teams participated in the Eurocup Regular Season: * A total of 10 teams from nine countries qualified directly to the 32-team regular season through their results in domestic competitions, or through a wild card. * Another 8 teams earned their place at the group stage by winning a qualifying round.
