2012–13 Eastern Michigan Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by second year head coach Rob Murphy, played their home games at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center and were members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 16–18, 7–9 in MAC play to finish in fourth place in the West Division. They won two games in the MAC tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Western Michigan. Rob Murphy (basketball)
Robert Lewis Murphy Sr. (born September 19, 1973) is an American former basketball executive, coach and player. He was most recently employed as the assistant general manager of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the president and general manager of the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League, the affiliate of the Pistons. He previously served as the head men's basketball coach for the Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball, Eastern Michigan Eagles from 2011 to 2021. College Rob Murphy attended and played for Central State University basketball program in Wilberforce, Ohio, from 1992 to 1996. Murphy was a two-time team captain during his junior and senior campaigns. The 2012–13 Texas–Pan American Broncs men's basketball team represented the University of Texas–Pan American during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Ryan Mark's fourth season at UTPA. The Broncs played their home games at the UTPA Fieldhouse and were members of the Great West Conference. They finished the season 16–16. 5–3 in Great West play to finish in second place. They lost in the semifinals of the Great West tournament to Chicago State. On March 18, head coach Ryan Marks was fired after posting a record of 39–89 in four seasons. This was the Broncs last season in the Great West. Pete Mathews Coliseum
Pete Mathews Coliseum (also known as "The Pete") is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Jacksonville, Alabama. It is home to the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks men's and women's basketball teams as well as the women's volleyball team. It also hosts the annual Calhoun County High School Basketball Tournament held each January, in which all high school basketball teams in Calhoun County, Alabama compete. The arena has been the annual host for this event since the early 1990s. Prior to that time, the event was held in different facilities around Calhoun County (most often at the Anniston High School auditorium).
