2012–13 Dayton Flyers Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Dayton Flyers men's basketball team represented the University of Dayton during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Flyers, led by second year head coach Archie Miller, played their home games at the University of Dayton Arena and were members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. They finished the season 17–14, 7–9 in A-10 play to finish in a three way tie for 11th place. They lost in the first round of the Atlantic 10 tournament to Butler. Archie Miller (basketball)
Ryan Joseph "Archie" Miller (born October 30, 1978) is an American men's college basketball coach for the Rhode Island Rams men's basketball, Rhode Island Rams. Miller played point guard for NC State Wolfpack men's basketball, North Carolina State from 1998 to 2002 and ended his career among the school's leaders in free-throw percentage, three-point field goal percentage, and total three-pointers. From 2011 to 2017, he was the head coach for the Dayton Flyers men's basketball, University of Dayton and won the conference regular season championship in 2016 and 2017, when he was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year. He left Dayton to be the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball, Indiana Hoosiers in 2017, but was relieved of his duties after only four seasons following the conclusion of the 2020–2021 season. Centerville High School is a public school of secondary education for grades 9–12 located in Centerville, Ohio, USA, situated south of Dayton. It is the only high school in the Centerville City School District, which also includes three middle schools, six elementary schools and two K–1 schools, or "primary villages". The district serves all of the city of Centerville and Washington Township, as well as a portion of the city of Kettering. Centerville is a city in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. A core suburb of Metro Dayton, its population was 24,240 as of the 2020 census. History Following the signing of the Treaty of Greenville, which opened the Northwest Territory to settlement, Centerville was first surveyed in February 1796 by Aaron Nutt, Benjamin Archer, and Benjamin Robbins, three brothers-in-law who traveled from New Jersey through Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Their survey of land owned by John Cleves Symmes occurred two months prior to the establishment of Dayton. They each claimed land near the intersection of Main and Franklin Streets.
