2012 MAC Men's Soccer Tournament
The 2012 Mid-American Conference men's soccer tournament was the 20th edition of the four-team tournament. The tournament decided the Mid-American Conference champion and guaranteed representative into the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament was held from November 9–11, 2012 with the higher seed hosting each match. Akron Zips Men's Soccer
The Akron Zips men's soccer team is an intercollegiate Varsity team, varsity sports team of the University of Akron. As of the 2023 NCAA Division I men's soccer season, the Zips play in the Big East Conference. This move followed Akron's full-time home of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) shutting down its men's soccer league after the 2022 season. Akron is regularly ranked in the Top 10 NSCAA collegiate men's soccer poll. They have been ranked No. 1 previously in 2005, 2009, 2010, and 2016. Northern Illinois Huskies Men's Soccer
The Northern Illinois Huskies men's soccer team is the college soccer team that represents Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb, Illinois, United States. The school's team competed in NIU's full-time home of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) through the 2022 season, after which the conference stopped sponsoring men's soccer. NIU moved that sport to the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) effective with the 2023 season, joining fellow MAC members Bowling Green and Western Michigan in this move.
