2012–13 Serbian SuperLiga
The 2012–13 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Jelen SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) was the seventh season of the Serbian SuperLiga, the top football league of Serbia. The season began on 26 August 2012 and ended on 25 May 2013. A total of 16 teams contested the league, including 14 sides from the 2011–12 season and two promoted from the 2011–12 Serbian First League. Partizan successfully defended their title. Last two teams, BSK Borča and Smederevo were relegated, while 14th team played play-off with 3rd placed team from 2012–13 Serbian First League. Teams Metalac and Borac Čačak were relegated to the 2012–13 Serbian First League after the last season for finishing in 16th and 15th place, respectively. Metalac completed a three-year tenure in the league, while Borac were relegated after competing in top-tier football for nine seasons. Serbian SuperLiga
The Serbian Super League (), also known as Mozzart SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Serbia and the highest level of the Serbian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Serbian First League. The SuperLiga was formed during the summer of 2005 as the country's top football league competition in Serbia and Montenegro. Since summer 2006 after the secession of Montenegro from Serbia, the league only has had Serbian clubs. Serbian clubs used to compete in the Yugoslav First League. This competition was formed in 1923 and lasted until 2003. After the downfall of SFR Yugoslavia in 1991 a new Yugoslavia would be formed that would be named FR Yugoslavia with Montenegro and Serbia. The 2011–12 Serbian First League was the seventh season of the league under its current name. It started on 13 August 2011 and concluded on 6 June 2012. Radnički Niš won the title and Donji Srem finished as runners-up, with both clubs earning promotion to the Serbian SuperLiga. Fudbalski klub Spartak Ždrepčeva Krv () is a professional football club from Subotica, Serbia, that plays in the Serbian SuperLiga. The club was founded in 1945 and was named after Jovan Mikić Spartak, the leader of the Partisans in Subotica, who was a national hero and was killed in 1944. Fudbalski klub Radnički 1923 (), commonly known as Radnički Kragujevac (), is a professional football club from Kragujevac, Serbia making up the major part of the Radnički Kragujevac Sports Society. The name Radnički means "of the labourers" in Serbian and its roots come from the relation the club had with labour movements during the first half of the 20th century. Fudbalski klub Novi Pazar () is a Serbian professional association football, football club based in the ciry of Novi Pazar, which competes in the Serbian SuperLiga. FK Javor Ivanjica () is a professional football club based in Ivanjica, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian First League, the second tier of the national league system. History In 1912, a student named Milan Radojević brought the first football ball to Ivanjica, which led to the formation of the club. The team mostly played friendly matches before the conclusion of World War II due to a lack of organized football competitions. Between 1958 and 1962, they were close to achieving promotion to the Yugoslav Second League. However, the club never reached higher than the third level until the 1990s. FK Hajduk Kula (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Хајдук Кула) was a Serbian football club based in Kula. The club was named after a Hajduk, a much celebrated hero figure in the Serbian epic poetry. On 30 July 2013, just eleven days before start of new season it was announced that club resigned from the SuperLiga and dissolved its first team due to financial problems, while the youth teams continue to participate in competitions in the club's successor OFK Hajduk. The 2002–03 First League of Serbia and Montenegro (in fall season ''First League of FR Yugoslavia'') was the eleventh and last season as FR Yugoslavia and (after was the country renamed in February 2003) first season of the Serbia and Montenegro's top-level football league since its establishment.
