2011–12 Youngstown State Penguins Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Youngstown State Penguins men's basketball team represented Youngstown State University in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Jerry Slocum. Jerry Slocum (basketball Coach)
Jerry Slocum (born January 12, 1952) is an American college basketball coach and former head men's basketball coach at Youngstown State University. He graduated from The King's College in Briarcliff Manor, New York in 1975. On March 7, 2017, Slocum announced he was retiring as head coach at Youngstown State. He had a record of 142–232 in 12 years at the school. The 2011–12 Buffalo Bulls men's basketball team represented the University at Buffalo during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulls, led by 13th year head coach Reggie Witherspoon, played their home games at Alumni Arena and were members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 20–11, 12–4 in MAC play to finish in second place in the East Division. They lost in the semifinals of the MAC tournament to Ohio. The Nutter Center is a multi-purpose arena located at Wright State University, in Fairborn, Ohio. It mainly serves as the home court of the Wright State Raiders men's and women's basketball teams. Calihan Hall is a 7,917-seat multi-purpose arena in Detroit. It is home to the University of Detroit Mercy Titans basketball team. The arena opened in 1952. DeGol Arena
DeGol Arena is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Loretto, Pennsylvania. It is home to the Saint Francis University Red Flash men's and women's basketball teams and the men's and women's volleyball teams. It opened in 1972 and The 1991 Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament was held there. It was renovated in 1994 and again in 2005; it can hold 3500 fans.
