2011–12 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles men's basketball team represented Tennessee Technological University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Eagles, led by first year head coach Steve Payne, played their home games at the Eblen Center and are members of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 19–14, 9–7 in OVC play to finish in third place. They lost in the semifinals of the Ohio Valley Basketball tournament to Murray State. They were invited to the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Tournament where the lost in the first round to Georgia State. Steve Payne (basketball)
Steve Payne (born February 12, 1968) is an American college basketball coach. He currently is an assistant coach for the Cleveland State. Most recently he was the men's basketball coach at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee, until his resignation following the conclusion of the 2018–2019 season. High Point Panthers
The High Point Panthers are the 17 varsity athletic teams that represent High Point University (HPU) in High Point, North Carolina, United States. All of HPU's varsity teams compete at the NCAA Division I level. All sports except men's lacrosse and women's rowing compete in the Big South Conference. The men's lacrosse team joined the Atlantic 10 Conference after the 2022 season.
