2011–12 St. Bonaventure Bonnies Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 St. Bonaventure Bonnies men's basketball team represented St. Bonaventure University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bonnies, led by fifth year head coach Mark Schmidt, played their home games at the Reilly Center and are members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. They finished the season 20–12, 10–6 in A-10 to finish in a tie for third place. They were champions of the A-10 Basketball tournament to earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA tournament where they lost in the second round to Florida State. Previous season The Bonnies were seventh in the Atlantic 10 Conference. They also made the first round of the College Basketball Invitational, where they lost to UCF. Mark Schmidt
Mark Schmidt (born February 12, 1963) is an American college basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach at St. Bonaventure University. Career He took the job at the start of the 2007–08 season after holding the same position at Robert Morris University for six seasons (2001–2007), compiling a record of 82–90. Prior to becoming the head coach at Robert Morris, he served as an assistant coach at Xavier University under Skip Prosser from 1994 to 2001. During the 2008–09 season, he led St. Bonaventure to a 15–15 record, and an appearance in the Atlantic 10 postseason tournament, the school's first since 2005. Schmidt has led the Bonnies to Atlantic 10 Tournament Championships in 2012 and 2021 in addition to Atlantic 10 regular season championships in 2016 and 2021. Guilford Technical Community College
Guilford Technical Community College (Guilford Tech, "G-Tech", or GTCC) is a public community college in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. It is the fourth largest institution in the North Carolina Community College System and the largest in the Piedmont Triad. Guilford Technical Community College also has campuses in Jamestown, High Point, Greensboro, and Colfax. Matthew Wright (basketball)
Matthew Andrew Christopher Wright (born February 7, 1991) is a Filipino-Canadian professional basketball player for the Kawasaki Brave Thunders of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball at St. Bonaventure University. He has since become an ASEAN Basketball League, ABL champion, a two-time PBA All-Star Game, PBA All-Star, and a member of Philippines men's national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas. Youssou Ndoye (born 15 July 1991) is a Senegalese professional basketball player who last played for the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus of the Korean Basketball League (KBL).
