2011–12 Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2011–12 Mid-American Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2011, followed by the start of the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. 2011–12 Kent State Golden Flashes Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball team represented Kent State University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Flashes, led by first year head coach Rob Senderoff, played their home games at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center and are members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 21–12, 10–6 in MAC play to finish in fourth place in the East Division. They lost in the semifinals of the MAC Basketball tournament to Akron. Robert Albert Murphy (born May 26, 1960) is an American former professional baseball player who was a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball from 1985 to 1995. The 2011–12 Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by first year head coach Rob Murphy, played their home games at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center and were members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference.
