The 2011-12 IIHF European Women Champions Cup was the eighth playing of the IIHF European Women Champions Cup. Tornado Moscow Region of the Russian Women's Hockey League won the tournament for the second time in three seasons. Hockey Club Tornado Moscow Region (), often shortened to HC Tornado, Tornado Moscow Region or Tornado Dmitrov, is a professional ice hockey club in the Zhenskaya Hockey League (ZhHL). HK Pantera Minsk was a women's ice hockey club from Belarus. Founded in 2010, it was the first professional women's ice hockey team in the country. Spišská Nová Ves (; ; ) is a town in the Košice Region of Slovakia. The town is located southeast of the High Tatras in the Spiš region, and lies on both banks of the Hornád River. Xiaomi Arena, formerly known as Arena Riga () is an indoor arena in Riga, Latvia. It is primarily used for ice hockey, basketball and concerts. Arena Riga holds a maximum of 14,500 and was opened on 15 February 2006. It was built to be used as one of the venues for the 2006 IIHF World Championship, the other being Skonto Arena. The arena was designed by the Canadian company Stadium Consultants International ( SCI Architects) and Latvian firms SIA Merks and SIA Nams. Ishockeyklubben Sparta Sarpsborg is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Sarpsborg, Norway. They currently play in EliteHockey Ligaen. They play their home games in the Sparta Amfi arena and is Norway's oldest ice hockey rink. The team colours are blue and white.
