The 2011–12 Fordham Rams men's basketball team represented Fordham University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was coached by Tom Pecora in his second year at the school. Tom Pecora
Tom Pecora (born January 21, 1958) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at Quinnipiac. Pecora was originally hired as associate head coach at Quinnipiac on March 28, 2017, under new head coach Baker Dunleavy. Pecora, a veteran with 14 years of experience as a head coach at the Division I level, entered his third season at Quinnipiac in 2019–20. Born in Queens Village, New York, he graduated from Adelphi University in 1983. He has 198 wins as a head coach at the Division I level (Hofstra, Fordham), and 261 wins in his career as a collegiate coach. Pecora was promoted to the position of head coach at Hofstra University in 2001, taking over for Jay Wright. Following his time at Hofstra, Pecora took over as the permanent replacement at Fordham University after the program fired Dereck Whittenburg during the 2009–10 season. Carrier Dome
The JMA Wireless Dome, originally the Carrier Dome (1980–2022), is a domed stadium in Syracuse, New York, United States. Located on the campus of Syracuse University in the University Hill neighborhood, it is home to the Syracuse Orange football, basketball, and lacrosse teams. In 2006–07, the women's basketball team began playing home games in the Carrier Dome. In May 2022, Syracuse University announced in April 2022 that Carrier Global Corp. would no longer hold naming rights to the venue. Multipurpose Activity Center
OceanFirst Bank Center (formerly Multipurpose Activity Center) is a multi-purpose student recreational facility at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. It was opened on August 26, 2009. It currently hosts the Monmouth Hawks basketball teams. It has a seating capacity of 4,100 spectators. It adjoins the William T. Boylan Gymnasium. The venue cost $57 million to construct. The facility was originally named the Multipurpose Activity Center until June 2016, when the university and OceanFirst Bank reached a $4 million agreement through 2036 that included the naming rights of the facility. The basketball court is named "Gaffney Court" in honor of former university president Vice Admiral Paul G. Gaffney II. The Battle of the Bronx is a college sports rivalry between Manhattan University and Fordham University, two NCAA Division I schools that play in The Bronx district of New York City. 2011–12 Lehigh Mountain Hawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Lehigh Mountain Hawks men's basketball team represented Lehigh University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mountain Hawks, led by fifth-year head coach Brett Reed, played their home games at Stabler Arena and were members of the Patriot League. They finished the season 27–8, 11–3 in Patriot League play to finish in second place in the conference. Following the regular season, Lehigh won the Patriot League Basketball tournament to earn the conference's automatic bid into the 2012 NCAA tournament.
