The men's welterweight is a competition featured at the 2011 World Taekwondo Championships, and was held at the Gyeongju Gymnasium in Gyeongju, South Korea on May 2 and May 3. Farzad Abdollahi
Farzad Abdollahi (, born 27 October 1990 in Mianeh, Iran) is an Iranian taekwondo practitioner. He won the gold medal in the welterweight division (80 kg) at the 2011 World Taekwondo Championships in Gyeongju, South Korea. Abdollahi is a cousin of another world taekwondo champion, Yousef Karami Yousef Karami (; born March 22, 1983, in Meyaneh, Iran) is an Iranian former taekwondo athlete who competed in the Men's 80 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal.
