Montreux Volley Masters
The Montreux Volley Masters (founded as the Coupe des Nations, later changed to BCV Volley Cup between 1990 and 1996 and to its final name in 1998) was an international invitational tournament for national teams in women's volleyball hosted by the Swiss Volley. Held annually in Montreux, Switzerland since 1984, it was the tournament that opened the international season for national teams. It ceased to exist after 34 editions in 2020. The main objective of this competition was to work as a preparation for more important and prestigious volleyball tournaments organized by the ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB), such as the World Grand Prix, the World Championship, the World Cup and the Olympic Games. Many national teams used the tournament as a way of giving experience and international baggage to young players and, as a result, countries were often represented by their underage national teams. Christiane Fürst (born 29 March 1985) is a German retired volleyball player. Career She won a bronze medal at the 2003 Women's European Volleyball Championship. Fürst was named Best Blocker at the 2006 and 2010 World Championships. She won the 2007–08 CEV Cup with the Italian team Scavolini Pesaro, and was named "Best Spiker". She won the bronze medal at the 2010–11 CEV Champions League with Fenerbahçe Acıbadem. As part of the Vakıfbank Spor Kulübü, she won CEV Women's Champions League in 2012–2013 season. Yukiko Ebata
Yukiko Ebata (江畑 幸子 ''Ebata Yukiko'', born November 7, 1989) is a retired Japanese volleyball player who played for the PFU BlueCats and was a member of the Japan women's national volleyball team. She was a member of Japan's bronze medal-winning 2012 Olympic volleyball team. Biography Ebata is from Tsuchizaki-Minato, Akita-shi, Akita prefecture. Her parents are volleyball players, she started playing volleyball when she is in her 3rd year in elementary school. She also has an older brother who also played volleyball. When she entered college, she was offered a scholarship by the director of the Holy Spiritual Women's Junior College, in return for playing volleyball for the school. Elena Keldibekova
Elena Keldibekova (born 23 June 1974) is a Kazakhstani-Peruvian retired volleyball player who played as setter for the Peru national team. Personal life Keldibekova was born in Kazakhstan to a family of Russian origin. She moved to Peru when she was 19 years old to play one season for the Club Regatas volleyball club, but decided to stay in the country after the season was over. She is married to Johnny Westreicher, a Peruvian former volleyball player of German ancestry. The two met during her time at Club Regatas, as her then coach for the team. With Westreicher, Keldibekovava had a son named Jan. Keldibekova is fluent in German, Russian and Spanish. Career Keldibekova arrived to Peru and played the 1996/97 season with Regatas Lima.
