2011 Florida State Seminoles Football Team
The 2011 Florida State Seminoles football team represented Florida State University in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS college football season. The Seminoles were led by second-year head coach Jimbo Fisher and played their home games at Doak Campbell Stadium. They were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference, playing in the Atlantic Division. Despite starting the season with a 2–3 record, the Seminoles finished the season 9–4, 5–3 in ACC play, to finish in a tie for second place in the Atlantic Division. They were invited to the Champs Sports Bowl where they defeated Notre Dame. Jimbo Fisher
John James "Jimbo" Fisher Jr. (born October 9, 1965) is an American college football coach. He most recently served as the head football coach at Texas A&M Aggies, Texas A&M from 2018 until 2023. Prior to that, he led Florida State Seminoles, Florida State to a 2014 BCS National Championship Game, BCS National Championship victory in 2014. Gregory William Hudson (born February 4, 1967) is an American college football coach and former player. He is a former defensive coordinator for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. Odell Haggins Jr. (born February 27, 1967) is an American college football coach and former player. He is the associate head coach and defensive tackles coach for Florida State University, positions he has held since 2020. Eddie Earl Gran (born July 21, 1965) is an American football coach who is currently the special assistant to the head coach at Kentucky. Before that, he was the offensive coordinator and running backs coach at Kentucky.
