2011 Categoría Primera B Season
The 2011 Categoría Primera B season is the 22nd season since its founding and is officially called the 2011 Torneo Postobón for sponsorship reasons. As the Primera A team, América will play the second leg at home. The winner will be determined by points, followed by goal difference, then a penalty shootout. The winner will be promoted/remain in the Primera A for the 2012 season, while the loser will be relegated/remain in the Primera B. Categoría Primera B, commonly referred to as Torneo BetPlay Dimayor due to Sponsor (commercial), sponsorship by online betting company BetPlay, is the second-division association football, football league in Colombia. The tournament was inaugurated on 29 January 1991. Format DIMAYOR has applied a new format from 2015 onwards because of the expansion to 20 teams in the Primera A tournament. The league will no longer have Apertura and Finalización seasons but rather a yearlong tournament with home and away games. The first phase of the tournament is everyone against everyone home and away games. The second is a two-groups phase with the 8 top teams from the season who play each other to determine the winners of each group. The winners of the two groups are both promoted to the Primera A and play the final in home and away games to determine the champion of the season. Estadio Departamental Libertad
Estadio Departamental Libertad is a multi-purpose stadium in Pasto (Colombia), Pasto, Colombia. It is used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of Deportivo Pasto. The stadium holds 18,000 people and was built in 1955. In 2007 Pasto qualified for the 2007 Copa Libertadores, Copa Libertadores, so the stadium was expanded to fit CONMEBOL requirements. The north stand was expanded, which completed the bowl of the stadium and made every side two tiers since before the renovation the north side was semi-open and had only one tier. In 2019, the seating rows were painted, the lighting was upgraded, the changing rooms were renovated, and a large TV screen was installed. Around $20 million COP were spent in the renovations, which ended in December 2019. Pasto
Pasto, officially San Juan de Pasto (; "Saint John of Pasto"), is the capital of the department of Nariño, in southern Colombia. Pasto was founded in 1537 and named after indigenous people of the area. In the 2018 census, the municipality had a population of 392,930.
