Jerry Slocum (basketball Coach)
Jerry Slocum (born January 12, 1952) is an American college basketball coach and former head men's basketball coach at Youngstown State University. He graduated from The King's College in Briarcliff Manor, New York in 1975. On March 7, 2017, Slocum announced he was retiring as head coach at Youngstown State. He had a record of 142–232 in 12 years at the school. The Athletics–Recreation Center, also known as the ARC, is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana, United States. It serves as the home court for Valparaiso Beacons men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team. It opened in 1984 as an addition to Hilltop Gym, the oldest parts of which date to 1939. The Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, often referred to as the MAC Center and the MACC, is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States.
