2010–11 Rhode Island Rams Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–2011 Rhode Island Rams men's basketball team represented the University of Rhode Island in the 2010–2011 college basketball season. The team was led by head coach Jim Baron in his tenth season as the head coach. The Rams competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at Ryan Center. Rhode Island ended the season at 20–14 (9–7 A-10 play), and lost in the second round of the Atlantic 10 men's basketball tournament to the eventual Atlantic 10 Tournament Champion, Richmond. They were invited to the 2011 College Basketball Invitational where they advanced to the quarterfinals and lost to UCF. Jim Baron
James Edward Baron (born March 20, 1954) is a retired American college basketball coach. He previously held the position of head coach at Saint Francis University, St. Bonaventure University, the University of Rhode Island and Canisius College. Playing career Baron lettered in basketball for four years (1973 to 1977) at St. Bonaventure University and helped St. Bonaventure win the 1977 National Invitation Tournament as a senior. Baron graduated from St. Bonaventure with a degree in physical education in 1977 and later earned a master's degree in counseling from the same institution in 1988. Coaching career In 1977, Baron began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Aquinas Institute in Rochester, New York. Quinnipiac Bobcats Men's Basketball
The Quinnipiac Bobcats men's basketball team represents Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They are currently coached by Tom Pecora and play their home games at the M&T Bank Arena. The Bobcats have never appeared in the NCAA tournament. The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) in NCAA Division I basketball. Charlotte is a member of the American Athletic Conference (The American), which they joined in 2023 after 10 seasons in Conference USA. The Dayton Flyers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) representing the University of Dayton in Ohio.
