Real Madrid Baloncesto (English: Royal Madrid Basketball) is a Spanish professional basketball club that was founded in 1931, as a division of Real Madrid CF. They play domestically in the Liga ACB, and internationally in the EuroLeague. They are widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball clubs in Europe. Real Madrid currently ranks first in the European professional basketball club rankings. Similarly to the Real Madrid athletic association football club, the basketball team has been the most successful of its peers in both Spain and Europe. Caja Mágica
Caja Mágica (; ), also known as the Manzanares Park Tennis Center, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Madrid, Spain. Since 2009, it has been the home of the Madrid Open tennis tournament. There are three courts under the one structure, and a series of retractable roofs. The seating capacity of Courts 1 and 2 would have been increased if Madrid's bid for the 2020 Summer Olympics had been successful. Construction The main building of the complex is the ''Edificio Madrid Caja Mágica'', a sports venue that houses three arenas. The center clay court, with a maximum capacity for 12,442 spectators, is officially named ''Estadio Manolo Santana''. The second largest court is called ''Estadio Arantxa Sánchez Vicario'' and has 3,194 seats alongside a third smaller court for 2,730 spectators. Sergio Rodríguez
Sergio Rodríguez Gómez (; born 12 June 1986) is a Spanish former professional basketball player who played for 21 seasons, most notably in the EuroLeague, and for Real Madrid in the Spanish Liga ACB, but also had two short stints in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at , he plays at the point guard position. Rodriguez, nicknamed "El Chacho", won the EuroLeague title in 2015, and was an All-EuroLeague First Team selection, as well as the EuroLeague MVP the year before. Pablo Prigioni (born 17 May 1977) is an Argentine-Italian former professional basketball player, currently serving as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played the point guard position, and was a member of the senior Argentina national basketball team that won the bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Prigioni is the oldest rookie in NBA history, making his debut with the New York Knicks in 2012 at 35. Prior to this, he was a two-time All-EuroLeague selection playing in Europe, most notably Spain. Sergi Vidal Plana (born 9 April 1981) is a Spanish retired professional basketball player, who played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. Professional career Vidal signed with the Spanish League giants Real Madrid in August 2009, after having spent nine years with Baskonia, the club with which he was the team captain. On 13 September 2018 he parted ways with Divina Seguros Joventut and in the next day, he signed with Cafés Candelas Breogán. On 23 September 2019 he signed with Montakit Fuenlabrada of the Liga ACB. Clay Tucker
Clay Jovon Tucker (June 14, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player. College career Tucker played college basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1998 to 2003 where he and Dylan Page helped the Panthers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2003. Professional career Tucker has bounced around for much of his professional career, playing for several different teams in both the United States and Europe. His most successful season was 2004–05, as a member of the Utah Snowbears in the American Basketball Association. He was Utah's top scorer, averaging over 20 points per game. Novica Veličković ( sr-cyr, Новица Величковић; born 5 October 1986) is a Serbian former professional basketball player who last worked as the team manager for Mega Basket of the Serbian League (KLS) and the ABA League. He also represented the senior Serbian national basketball team internationally. Professional career Veličković started playing basketball for KK Drvomarket in 1996. Carlos Suárez (basketball)
Carlos Suárez García-Osorio (born May 23, 1986) is a Spanish professional basketball player for Estudiantes of the LEB Oro. He is a tall small forward. Professional career Carlos Suárez joined the Liga ACB club Estudiantes's senior team during the 2005, rising from club's junior team ranks. In September 2010, he signed a four-year contract with Real Madrid. With Madrid, Suárez won the Liga ACB in the 2013 season, and the Spanish Cup and Supercup in 2012. Nikola Mirotić Stajović ( cnr-Cyrl, Никола Миротић; born 11 February 1991) is a Montenegrin–born naturalized Spanish professional basketball player for Olimpia Milano of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroLeague. D'or Anthony Naheem Fischer (; born October 12, 1981) is an American-Israeli professional basketball who last played for Elitzur Eito Ashkelon of the Israeli National League.
