2010–11 Providence Friars Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Providence Friars men's basketball team represented Providence College in the 2010–11 Big East Conference men's basketball season, Big East Conference. The team finished with a 4–14 conference record and a 15–17 record overall. In his third season with the team, head coach Keno Davis returned two starters and just eight players overall after a tumultuous offseason that included the dismissal of the team's leading scorer in 2009–10 Providence Friars men's basketball team, 2009–10, forward Jamine Peterson, as well as the transfer or dismissal of three other players. The Friars were led in scoring by senior forward Marshon Brooks, who finished first the conference and second in Division I with 24.6 points per game. Big East Conference (1979–2013)
The Big East Conference was a List of college athletic conferences, collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The conference's members participated in 24 National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA sports. Murray Deshawn "Duke" Mondy (born December 2, 1990) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Oakland Golden Grizzlies where he led the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I in steals per game during his junior season, averaging 3.03 steals per game. Iowa Hawkeyes Men's Basketball
The Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team is part of the University of Iowa athletics department. Tom Davis (basketball, Born 1938)
Thomas Robert Davis (born December 3, 1938) is an American former college basketball, college men's basketball coach. He served as the head coach at Lafayette College, Boston College, Stanford University, the University of Iowa, and Drake University from 1971 to 2007. Early life A native of Ridgeway, Wisconsin, Davis attended the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, where he played on the basketball team as a point guard. He was interested in politics, and between his junior and senior years of college, held a congressional internship for Wisconsin state senator Alexander Wiley. Kevin Douglas Gamble (born November 13, 1965) is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association and currently a scout with the Toronto Raptors. At , he played as both a shooting guard and small forward. Early life Gamble was born in Springfield, Illinois and lived in the city's John Hay public-housing projects with his single mother. Gamble entered Springfield's Lanphier High School; by his senior season, Gamble led the Lions to the 1983 Illinois Class AA State Basketball Championship. James Patrick Dixon II (born November 10, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the TCU Horned Frogs men's team, where he played college ball. He previously served as the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team from 2003 through 2016.
