2010–11 Professional Arena Soccer League Season
The 2010–11 Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) season is the third season for the American Professional Arena Soccer League, arena soccer league. The season kicked off on Friday November 12, when the Louisville Lightning hosted the Cincinnati Kings. A new feature for the 2010–11 season was the Frontier Division. The Frontier Division featured teams above the level of Premier Arena Soccer League, PASL-Premier but not ready for the higher travel demands and costs of the PASL-Pro. Frontier teams played an abbreviated 12-game schedule, with a mixture of PASL-Pro, Premier Arena Soccer League, PASL-Premier, and other Frontier Division opponents. Professional Arena Soccer League
The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) is a professional indoor soccer league in North America. The MASL features teams playing coast-to-coast in the United States and Mexico. The league is the highest level of arena soccer in North America. The league draws talent from a global talent pool with players from Major League Soccer (MLS), Liga MX, and many national teams. With a new management team, the league has grown in popularity and commercially. Former USMNT and MLS star Landon Donovan played in the MASL, as do multiple international players. Jeff Hughes (born August 20, 1984, in Covington, Kentucky) is an American former professional soccer player who is currently the head academy coach for City SC in Carlsbad, California. Career Youth and college Growing up in Northern Kentucky, Hughes set several area records for goals scored while playing at Holmes High School. During his senior season, he set the Region record for goals scored in a season and was voted 2001 Northern Kentucky Player of the Year. After high school Hughes chose to play soccer for NCAA Division I Western Michigan University, and then later transferred to the University of Cincinnati at the end of his sophomore year. Daniel Antoniuk (born January 23, 1981, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American soccer player who last played for the Tacoma Stars in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career College Antoniuk attended Wheaton College, playing on the men's soccer team from 1999 to 2002. He holds the school record for career goals (54) and points (144) and was a 1999 NCAA Division III Third Team All American. Professional In the spring of 2003, Antoniuk signed with the Portland Timbers of the USL A-League/First Division. He spent three seasons in Portland, his most productive coming in 2005 when he scored thirteen goals in twenty-four games. Antoniuk was selected to the USL Starting Eleven All-star Team. Kraig Chiles (born May 14, 1984) is an American soccer player who plays for the San Diego Sockers of the Major Arena Soccer League. Winnipeg Alliance FC were a professional indoor soccer team that played in the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League (CMISL) from 2007 through 2011. The team suspended operations in January 2012. History 2007 season The Winnipeg Alliance was one of 4 founding teams of the CMISL. In 2007 the league played a Showcase season consisting of exhibition games the Alliance played 2 double headers against the Edmonton Drillers.
