The 2010–11 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Roy Williams (coach)
Roy Allen Williams (born August 1, 1950) is an American retired college basketball coach who served as the men's head coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball, North Carolina Tar Heels for 18 seasons and the Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball, Kansas Jayhawks for 15 seasons. He was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. Williams started his college coaching career at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina as an assistant coach for Dean Smith in 1978. Four years later, North Carolina won the national championship. Travis James Wear (born September 21, 1990) is an American former professional basketball player. He began his pro career with the New York Knicks after going undrafted in 2014. Wear was an All-American in high school and won a silver medal with United States U-18 national team at the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship in 2008. He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels and the UCLA Bruins. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. He was born in Dumfries, Virginia, and attended Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Virginia. Kinston High School is a four-year public high school located in Kinston, North Carolina, United States. Kinston High was built in 1970 as an integrated high school to serve the city.
