Sidney Lowe
Sidney Rochell Lowe (born January 21, 1960) is an American former basketball player and current assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Lowe played college basketball and served as the head coach at North Carolina State University (NC State). Biography Lowe began his career at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. He played collegiate basketball at NC State Wolfpack men's basketball, NC State. He was the point guard for the Wolfpack's 1983 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, 1983 NCAA National Championship. Lowe was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 1st pick of the second round in the 1983 NBA draft. He played a total of four seasons in the NBA, for five different teams. Lowe played in the Continental Basketball Association for the Rapid City Thrillers, Tampa Bay / Rapid City Thrillers and Albany Patroons from 1984 to 1989. Javier Eduardo González Vejar (born April 15, 1989) is a Puerto Rican professional basketball player for the Vaqueros de Bayamón of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). High school González played for coach Marcos Rodriguez at Miami's Dr. Michael M. Krop High School in Miami, Florida. He averaged 20.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists as a senior. González was tabbed the Class 6-A Florida Player of the Year, First-team all-state and All-Dade County, Miami-Dade County Co-Player of the Year, Miami Herald's Player of the Year, Team reached the 6-A state quarterfinals, and finished 28-4. The 2010–11 George Mason Patriots men's basketball team represented George Mason University during the 2010–11 college basketball season. This was the 45th season for the program. Led by fourteenth-year head coach Jim Larranaga, the Patriots were members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and played home games on campus at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Undefeated at home, George Mason finished the regular season at 25–5 (16–2 in CAA) to win the conference's regular season championship. The Charleston Classic is a three-day invitational college basketball season-opening tournament held in Charleston, South Carolina. An ESPN-owned and operated event, it is contested at TD Arena, home of the Charleston Cougars. TD Arena is a 5,100 seat multi-purpose arena in Charleston, South Carolina, United States that opened in 2008 and replaced John Kresse Arena as the home of the College of Charleston Cougars basketball and volleyball teams. The South Financial Group of Greenville purchased the naming rights to the new facility and it opened in 2008 under the Carolina First Arena name. 2010–11 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles men's basketball team represented Tennessee Tech University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Eagles, led by head coach Mike Sutton, played their home games at the Eblen Center in Cookeville, Tennessee, as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. The Golden Eagles finished 4th in the OVC during the regular season, and advanced to the championship game of the OVC tournament after upsetting top-seeded Murray State. Tennessee Tech fell in the championship game to Morehead State, 80-73. Tennessee Tech failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament, but were invited to the 2011 CIT. Reynolds Coliseum
William Neal Reynolds Coliseum is a multi-purpose arena located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, on the campus of North Carolina State University. The arena was built to host a variety of events, including agricultural expositions and NC State basketball games. It is now home to all services of ROTC and several Wolfpack teams, including women's basketball, women's volleyball, women's gymnastics, and men's wrestling. The university named the court in Reynolds "Kay Yow Court" on February 16, 2007, with the assistance of a substantial donation from the Wolfpack Club.
