2010–11 Gonzaga Bulldogs Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Gonzaga University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulldogs are members of the West Coast Conference, and were led by head coach Mark Few. They played their home games at the McCarthey Athletic Center on the university campus in Spokane, Washington. The team lost the 2010 WCC Player of the Year Matt Bouldin to graduation, but returned the rest of their starting lineup. Three of the returning players participated in the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey—Elias Harris for Germany and Kelly Olynyk and Robert Sacre for Canada. Gonzaga was the only NCAA school with more than one player involved in the 2010 Worlds. Mark Few
Mark Norman Few (born December 27, 1962) is an American college basketball coach who has been the head coach at Gonzaga University since 1999. He has served on Gonzaga's coaching staff since 1989, and has led the Bulldogs from mid-major obscurity to consistent NCAA tournament contenders. During his tenure as head coach, Few has led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament every season (except 2019–20, when the team had secured an automatic bid but the tournament was canceled), a stretch that has garnered the Bulldogs recognition as a major basketball power despite playing in a mid-major conference. In his 26 seasons as head coach, his teams have won at least a share of 22 West Coast Conference regular season titles and 20 WCC tournament titles, and have participated in the National Championship game twice (2017 and 2021). Kelly Olynyk
Kelly Tyler Olynyk ( ; born April 19, 1991) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, where he earned NCAA All-American honours in 2013. After forgoing his senior year of college basketball, Olynyk was selected with the 13th overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2013 NBA draft, before being immediately traded to the Boston Celtics. In July 2017, he signed with the Miami Heat, with whom he reached the NBA Finals in 2020. In March 2021, Olynyk was traded to the Houston Rockets. Quincy is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. It is situated east of the Columbia River on State Route 28 and north of Interstate 90. The population was 7,543 at the 2020 census. Bonney Lake is a city in Pierce County, Washington. The population was 22,487 at the time of the 2020 census. History Bonney Lake was incorporated as a town on February 28, 1949, after the establishment of a co-op venture to bring electricity and tap water service to local residents. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to disincorporate the town from 1952 to 1972.
