2010–11 FC Bayern Munich Season
The 2010–11 season of FC Bayern Munich began on 21 June with their first training session. Off-season Bayern already made a few squad changes. They released the previously loaned out Luca Toni from his contract and sold Christian Lell to Hertha BSC. The contracts of multiple players expired and were not extended: Michael Rensing eventually ended up at 1. FC Köln, while Andreas Görlitz joined FC Ingolstadt 04, FC Ingolstadt. Meanwhile, José Sosa was sold to S.S.C. Napoli, Napoli. Breno Borges, Breno and Andreas Ottl both returned from 1. FC Nürnberg, where they had been on loan since the winter break; Toni Kroos came back from an 18-month loan to Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Leverkusen; and Edson Braafheid returned from a six-month spell at Celtic F.C., Celtic. Christian Lell (born 29 August 1984) is a German former professional footballer who played as a right-back. Career Bayern Munich Early career Born in Munich, Bavaria, Lell started his training with FC Alemannia München, He earned a place in Bayern's youth section in 1993, and played there for eight years. For the 2001–02 season, Lell was a part of Bayern's reserve team. In his first season at the senior level, the right-wingback made 10 appearances in the Regionalliga Süd. He would make 31 league appearances and a cup appearance during the 2002–03 season. He made 20 appearances for the reserve team during the 2003–04 season. Rouven Kai Sattelmaier (born 7 August 1987) is a German former professional footballer who played as goalkeeper. Career Born in Ludwigsburg, Sattelmaier began his career 1997 in the youth team of TSV Affalterbach and was scouted in 2000 by VfB Stuttgart. After only one year for VfB Stuttgart's youth team he was sold to SGV Freiberg. He played two years for Freiberg and joined Stuttgarter Kickers in 2003. Edson René Braafheid (born 8 April 1983) is a Dutch former professional footballer who currently works as a player representative at the Tevreden Group. Braafheid started his career as a defender with Eredivisie side Utrecht in 2003, before moving on to FC Twente in 2007 on a free transfer. Andreas Ottl (; born 1 March 1985) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He signed his first professional contract for Bayern Munich in 2005. He also played for Germany's U-21 Team.
