Football League Two
The English Football League Two, simply known as League Two and for sponsorship purposes as Sky Bet League Two, is a professional association football league in England. EFL League Two is the fourth division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest tier overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League, EFL Championship and the EFL League One and is contested by 24 clubs. Introduced for the 2004–05 English football season as Football League Two, it is a rebrand of the former Football League Third Division. As of the 2025-26 season, Newport County hold the longest tenure in this division following their promotion in the 2012–13 season. Darren Stride
Darren Stride (born 28 September 1975) is an English former professional association football footballer. Playing as a central defender or in other utility roles including centre forward, Stride captained the Burton Albion side for 12 years. Stride has recently completed his coaching qualifications and is looking to move into management. Career Stride had been part of the first team since progressing from the Burton youth team, and had subsequently become the club's record holder for most appearances. He had also played in every single position during his time at the club, including as an emergency goalkeeper. Stride was released at the end of the 2009–10 after 17 years with the club. Football League Trophy
The English Football League Trophy, officially known as the Vertu Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is an annual English football knockout competition open to all clubs in EFL League One and EFL League Two and U-21 teams from the Premier League and the EFL Championship. Launched in the 1981–82 football season as the Football League Group Cup, it was a replacement for the Anglo-Scottish Cup, which had been discontinued after the withdrawal of Scottish League clubs. It reconstituted as Associate Members' Cup during the 1983–84 season. The competition was renamed the Football League Trophy in 1992 after a reorganisation following the formation of the Premier League and again as the current ''EFL Trophy'' in 2016 due to The Football League changing its name to the English Football League. Pirelli Stadium
Pirelli Stadium is an association football stadium on Princess Way in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England. It was built in 2005 and is the current home of Burton Albion FC, replacing the club's old Eton Park home, also on Princess Way, which was demolished and developed into housing. The ground was built on the former site of the Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd Sports & Social Club, and having had the land donated to the club by Pirelli, in return for naming rights, the ground cost £7.2 million to build. The ground was designed by architects Hadfield, Cawkwell and Davidson, and has served as the inspiration for numerous newer grounds, including Morecambe's Globe Arena, and the proposed Hayes & Yeading stadium. Adam Legzdins
Adam Richard Legzdins (born 28 November 1986) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He currently works in an operations role for club Dundee. Legzdins began his career with Birmingham City, from where he spent time on loan at several lower-division clubs but never played first-team football for his parent club. In 2008, he joined Crewe Alexandra, with whom he made his debut in the Football League, but played only infrequently. He spent the 2010–11 season as Football League Two club Burton Albion's first-choice goalkeeper, earning himself a move to Derby County of the Football League Championship. Darren Mark Moore (born 22 April 1974) is a professional football manager and former player who played as a centre-back. He is the manager of club Port Vale. Moore was born in Birmingham, though represented Jamaica at international level. He began his club career with Torquay United, playing 124 competitive games between turning professional in 1992 and being sold to Doncaster Rovers in July 1995 for an initial fee of £65,000. He was named Doncaster's Player of the Year for the 1995–96 season before being sold to Bradford City for an initial fee of £195,000 in June 1997. He was promoted out of the First Division in 1998–99 and was named on the PFA Team of the Year, though was then forced out of the club and sold on to Portsmouth for £500,000 in November 1999. Mark David Sale (born 27 February 1972) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward. He made more than 200 appearances in the Football League and many more in non-league football. He was first-team coach of Birmingham City from October 2014 to December 2016. In March 2017 he was appointed first-team coach at Derby County. He was appointed first-team at Stoke City in June 2018. Playing career Sale was born in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, and began his career as a trainee with Stoke City. He made his league debut away to Brighton & Hove Albion in May 1990 and played the following week in the home game against Swindon Town. Mike Whitlow
Michael William Whitlow (born 13 January 1968) is an English former professional footballer and Under-18s coach at League Two club Mansfield Town. As a player, he was a defender from 1987 to 2007. He notably played for Leeds United, and in the Premier League for Leicester City and Bolton Wanderers, and in the Football League for Sheffield United and Notts County. He has since coached at various clubs across both youth academies and first teams including Derby County, Burton Albion and Birmingham City.
