2010–11 Arizona Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team represented the University of Arizona during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by second year head coach Sean Miller, played their home games at the McKale Center and are members of the Pacific-10 Conference. Miller was named the Pac-10 Conference 2011 John R. Wooden Coach of the Year. The Wildcats finished the regular season 25–6, 14–4 in Pac-10 play to win the twelfth Pac-10 regular season championship title for first time since 2005 and lost in the championship game of the 2011 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball tournament to Washington. They received an at-large bid in the 2011 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, as the No. 5 seed in the West Regional, where they defeated Memphis in the second round, Texas in the third round, and Duke in the round of sixteen. Sean Miller
Sean Edward Miller (born November 17, 1968) is an American college basketball coach who currently serves as head coach at the Texas Longhorns men's basketball, University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as head coach at the Arizona Wildcats men's basketball, University of Arizona from 2009 to 2021 and Xavier Musketeers men's basketball, Xavier University from 2004 to 2009 and then again from 2022 to 2025. Miller is a three-time gold medalist as a member of United States men's national basketball team, USA Basketball: once as a player, once as an assistant coach, and once as head coach. Miller has won five league Coach of the Year Awards: once in the Atlantic 10 Conference, A10, three in the Pac-12 Conference, Pac-12, and once as USA Basketball Coach of the Year. Solomon Hill (basketball)
Solomon Jamar Hill (born March 18, 1991) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. High school career Hill attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, California. As a junior, he averaged 10.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Derrick Williams (basketball)
Derrick LeRon Williams (born May 25, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Mets de Guaynabo of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats from 2009 to 2011. Williams was selected with the second overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2011 NBA draft. He spent two and a half seasons in Minnesota before being traded to the Sacramento Kings in November 2013. After two seasons with the Kings, Williams signed with the New York Knicks in July 2015. He later signed with the Miami Heat in July 2016 before being waived in February 2017. Williams joined the Cleveland Cavaliers the same month, with whom he reached the 2017 NBA Finals.
