2010–11 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship
The 2010–11 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the 41st staging of Ireland's premier competition at inter-county level for hurling clubs. A total of fifteen teams competed in the championship, with Clarinbridge defeating O'Loughlin Gaels by 2-18 to 0-12 in the final at Croke Park, Dublin. The championship began on 10 October 2010 and concluded on 17 March 2011. Pre-championship Barring a win for Loughgiel Shamrocks, a new club will be crowned All-Ireland champions on St. Patricks's Day as the remaining participants have never claimed the championship title. The Shamrocks claimed the championship in 1982–83, however, their campaign is expected to end in the All-Ireland semi-final. Birr GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Birr, County Offaly, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the Offaly Cork Board and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling, but also fields teams in Gaelic football. History Located in the town of Birr, on the Offaly- Tipperary border, Birr GAA Club was established in 1909. After just a few short years, the club had it's first success when, in 1912, they claimed the first of three Offaly SHC in four seasons. The Galway Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Brooks Galway Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Galway County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1887 for the top hurling teams in the county of Galway in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at Pearse Stadium in November. Initially played as a knock-out competition, the championship currently consists of a group stage followed by a knock-out series of games. The Galway County Championship is an integral part of the wider All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship. The Down Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Morgan Fuels Down GAA Senior Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Down SHC) is an annual hurling competition contested by top-tier Down GAA clubs. Dublin Senior Hurling Championship
The Dublin Senior Hurling Championship () is an annual hurling competition organised by the Dublin County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 1887 for the top hurling clubs in County Dublin, Ireland. Sixteen clubs compete. Initially the teams are divided into four groups of four with the group matches being played from April to May with a break to accommodate the All-Ireland Championship and resume during August or September. The group stage is followed by a knock-out phase which takes place during the months of October and November. Sponsored by Go-Ahead, it is therefore officially known as the Go-Ahead Dublin Senior Hurling Championship. Thurles Sarsfields is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. Buffers Alley is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the villages of Kilmuckridge and Monamolin in County Wexford, Ireland. Oulart (, formerly ''Ubhallghort'' - ''"the orchard"''), is a small village in the southeastern corner of Ireland. It is situated in County Wexford just off the R741 regional road halfway between the towns of Gorey to the north and Wexford to the south.
