2010–11 Adelaide United FC Season
The 2010–11 Adelaide United FC season was the club's sixth A-League season. It includes the 2010–11 A-League season as well as any other competitions of the 2010–11 Association football, football season, including the 2010 AFC Champions League. Adelaide United competed in the continental competition for its third time, making the club the most successful Australian club in Asia. Overview For the first time in the club's history, the Adelaide United will be managed by an international manager in Rini Coolen, moving away from the Adelaide United tradition of local coaches seen in its prior seasons. As of 9 September 2010, Adelaide United has made Australian football history by becoming the first team to climb from the bottom of the table to the top, whilst the 2009–10 A-League, 2009–10 premiers and champions, Sydney FC, remain rooted at the bottom. Adelaide United Football Club is a professional men's Association football, soccer club located in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The club was one of the eight founding members of the A-League Men and have competed in it concurrently since its formation, under North American professional sports league organization#Systems around the world, licence from the Australian Professional Leagues. Iain Stuart Fyfe (born 3 April 1982) is a retired Australian A-League professional footballer. Club career On completion of his SASI program in 2000, Iain joined hometown NSL club Adelaide City. After just three appearances off the bench in 2000–01, he broke into the Adelaide first team the following season, making 52 appearances in two years before moving to Sydney Olympic in 2003. Cameron Watson (born 31 May 1987) is a Scottish Australian former football (soccer) player who played as a defensive midfielder. Club career FC Porto and VVV-Venlo Watson previously played in the youth and reserve teams of Portuguese Liga club FC Porto for one season before joining Dutch club VVV-Venlo, where he made a handful of appearances. Lloyd Magnus Owusu (born 12 December 1976) is a retired professional footballer who last played for Hakoah Sydney City East in the NSW State League Division One, Sydney, Australia. After a move from non-League Slough Town, his career took off at Brentford, where he scored 48 goals in 163 league games between 1998 and 2002. Andwélé Slory
Andwélé Cedric Slory (born 27 September 1982) is a Dutch former professional footballer. He played as a right winger. After his professional debut for Stormvogels Telstar at the age of 18, Slory promoted to the Eredivisie with his next club Excelsior. In the Eredivisie, Slory had an impressive season with Excelsior.
