The 2009β10 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season began on October 2, 2009, ending with the 2010 NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Tournament's championship game on March 21, 2010 at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis. The 2009β10 Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks women's hockey team represented Wilfrid Laurier University in the 2009-10 Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's hockey season. The Golden Hawks were coached by Rick Osborne. Assisting Osborne was Jim Rayburn, Cindy Eadie, and Bruce Chapman. The Golden Hawks played home games at Sunlife Financial Arena. Robert Morris Colonials Women's Ice Hockey
Robert Morris Colonials women's ice hockey is a college ice hockey program representing Robert Morris University in NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) conference. The program was suspended, along with the men's team, after an announcement by the university on May 26, 2021. On December 17, 2021, it was announced both programs would be reinstated for the 2023β24 season. Shortly after that season, the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America, respectively home to the Colonials men's and women's teams, merged to form Atlantic Hockey America. Natalie Spooner
Natalie Marie Spooner (born October 17, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and a member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team, Canadian national women's team. She was named the IIHF Female Player of the Year in 2024. Spooner was the first player to play for the Canadian national under-18, under-22, and senior teams. In 2014, she became the first player to win both an Olympic gold medal and the Clarkson Cup in the same year. Spooner runs a High Performance Hockey Academy for girls. Minnamari "Minttu" Tuominen (; born 26 June 1990) is a Finnish ice hockey player. She plays in the Auroraliiga (called Naisten Liiga until 2024) with Kiekko-Espoo. A member of the Finnish national ice hockey team since 2008, she has earned medals at three Winter Olympic Games and five IIHF Women's World Championships. Playing career Finland Tuominen played for the Espoo Blues Naiset in the Naisten SM-sarja (NSMs; rebranded as Naisten Liiga in 2017) and attended Makelanrinne Sports High School in Helsinki. At Makelanrinne, she captained the ice hockey team after being named one of the school's top athletes of 2007 and 2008.
