2009–10 North Queensland Fury FC Season
The 2009–10 season was the inaugural season of North Queensland Fury. It began on 1 May 2009 and concluded on 30 April 2010, with competitive matches played in the A-League between August and February. The club finished the 2009–10 A-League in seventh place, with eight wins, eight draws and eleven losses, narrowly missing qualification for the finals series. The Fury signed former Scottish international Ian Ferguson to be their inaugural manager, while former Liverpool and England forward Robbie Fowler was the team's marquee player. A slow start to the A-League season saw the team fail to win any of its first five games, and record only one win in their first eleven matches. The Fury's form improved in the second half of the season, winning seven of their remaining sixteen games. 27 players represented the club in the A-League and there were 10 different goalscorers. North Queensland Fury
Northern Fury Football Club was an Australian professional soccer club based in Townsville, Queensland. The club was founded in 2008 and competed in the A-League under the name North Queensland Fury. On 1 March 2011, the club was removed from the league due to financial instability. On 3 October 2012, the club officially re-formed after it was granted a licence to participate in the National Premier League Queensland. After rebranding themselves as "North Queensland United" in 2017, the club disbanded a second time at the end of the 2018 Football Queensland season. Brisbane Roar FC
Brisbane Roar Football Club is a professional soccer club based in Brisbane, Queensland. competing in Australia's premier men's competition, A-League Men, which is the top tier Australia's football pyramid. Al Raed FC
Al Raed Saudi Football Club ( ''Nādī ar-Rāʾid''; ) is a Saudi football club based in Buraidah, and the first of its kind in the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. One of the club's notable founders is Abdulaziz Al-Aboudi. Established in 1954, Al Raed have played in the Saudi Pro League, the top division of Saudi football, since 2008. Felipe Souza Campos (born 24 May 1981), sometimes known as just Felipe, is a Brazilian football player, who plays for Guarani de Palhoça. Perth Glory Football Club is an Australian professional Association football, soccer club based in Perth, Perth, Western Australia. James Downey (born 19 October 1987) is an Australian footballer who last played for Ballarat Red Devils in the National Premier Leagues Victoria Division 1. Club career Downey was with the Queensland Academy of Sport between 2003 and 2004 before joining the Australian Institute of Sport in 2005. Paul John Henderson (born 22 April 1976) is an Australian footballer who plays for Sydney Olympic FC as a goalkeeper in the National Premier Leagues. Scott Peter Wilson (born 19 March 1977) is a Scottish former footballer, who played for Rangers, Portsmouth, Dunfermline Athletic and North Queensland Fury. Wilson represented Scotland at under-21 international level. Club career Wilson signed for Rangers in 1993 from the club's youth system.
