2009–10 Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Season
The 2009–10 CAA men's basketball season marks the 25th season of Colonial Athletic Association basketball. The conference had numerous "Silver Anniversary" programs and highlights throughout the season. Preseason On September 23, 2009 the Colonial Athletic Association announced that all 12 CAA teams had been named to ESPN's ''BracketBusters'', which is set for February 19–20, 2010. Home games will be played by Delaware, George Mason, Georgia State, Hofstra, Northeastern and Virginia Commonwealth (VCU). Drexel, James Madison, UNC Wilmington, Old Dominion, Towson and William & Mary are all road teams. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a nonprofit organization that regulates College athletics in the United States, student athletics among about 1,100 schools in the United States, and Simon Fraser University, 1 in Canada. William & Mary Tribe Men's Basketball
The William & Mary Tribe men's basketball team represents the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in NCAA Division I competition. The school's team competes in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) and play their home games in Kaplan Arena. Former Cornell Head Coach Brian Earl was hired as the 32nd coach in school history following the dismissal of Coach Dane Fischer. Tony Shaver served as the head coach from 2003–2019 and leads the school in all-time wins for a coach. Larry Sanders (basketball)
Larry Sanders (born November 21, 1988) is an American professional basketball player. He played power forward for the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams before declaring himself eligible for the 2010 NBA draft and was selected 15th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks. High school career Sanders did not play basketball in the ninth grade, and the private school he attended did not offer it. However, after he transferred to Port St. Lucie High School, the school's basketball coach, Kareem Rodriguez, saw potential in the then 6'1" Sanders and prevailed on him to play for the team. Sanders grew to 6'4" in his second year and to 6'6" in his third. He would sprout further to 6'9" in his senior year. Palm Bay is a city in Brevard County, Florida, United States. Cameron Scott Long (born December 30, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Maccabi Rishon LeZion of the Israeli Premier League. A combo guard, he played college basketball for the George Mason University before playing professionally in Lithuania, France, Germany, Romania and Israel. Gerald Raymond Lee Jr. (born November 23, 1987) is a Finnish professional basketball player who last played for Ironi Nes Ziona of the Israeli Premier League.
