The 2009 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the Women's Continental Volleyball Tournament, there eight countries competed from September 22 to September 27, 2009, in Bayamﾃｳn, Puerto Rico. The top finisher qualified for the 2009 FIVB Women's World Grand Champions Cup in Japan. ﾃ「rea Esther "Aury" Cruz Dalmau (born January 10, 1982) is an indoor and beach volleyball player from Puerto Rico who currently plays for the Orlando Valkyries of the Pro Volleyball Federation. She is best known for competing for the Puerto Rico national team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan, where she was named Best Server at the event. College career Cruz accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where she competed for coach Mary Wise's Florida Gators women's volleyball team from 2000 to 2003. The Gators competed in NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and were the regular season SEC champions for four straight years during Cruz's college career. 2009 In Women's Volleyball

Wilma Salas
Wilma Salas Rosell (born 9 March 1991) is a Cuban female volleyball player. She was part of the Cuba women's national volleyball team. She currently plays in Italian Volley League for Roma Volley Club (women's volleyball). She participated at the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Japan., when she used to play with Santiago de Cuba. Career Wilma Salas' career started at the age of 16 in Cuban championship, playing for the local team of Santiago de Cuba, where she remained until 2012. After two years of inactivity, she returned to the field in the 2014-15 season in Azerbaijan Super League, when she signed her first professional contract with Rabitﾉ Baku, winning the championship. Vilmarie Mojica (born August 13, 1985, in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) is a volleyball player from Puerto Rico, who captained the Women's National Team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan. There the team ended up in eighth and last place, having received a wild card for the event after Peru and Kenya withdrew. Brenda Castillo
Brenda Castillo (born June 5, 1992, in San Cristﾃｳbal) is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic and plays as a libero. She was a member of the Dominican Republic national team that won fifth place in the 2012 Summer Olympics, while she was named the tournament's Best Libero. She played in the 2014 World Championship reaching also the fifth place and ranking 17th in the 2010 World Championship and the 2011 FIVB World Cup where her national team ranked eight and the 2015 FIVB World Cup, winning the Best Libero individual award and ranking in seventh place. Yanelis Santos Allegne (born 30 March 1986, in Ciego de ﾃ」ila) is a volleyball player from Cuba who played for the Cuban women's national team as a setter and opposite. Santos was named "Best Server" at the 2007 FIVB World Cup and the 2008 Summer Olympics. Career National team Santos started playing volleyball as a twelve year old in 1998, then joined the Cuban national team in 2001. Santos played with her national team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Even though they had previously defeated the US 3-0, this time they lost 0-3, falling to their nerves and own mistakes. They lost the bronze medal match to China, 1-3. Nancy Carillo de la Paz (born 11 January 1986, in Havana) is a volleyball player from Cuba. Nancy Metcalf
Nancy Jean Metcalf (nﾃｩe Meendering; born November 12, 1978) is an American indoor volleyball player. She represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, where she finished in fifth place with the USA National Team. She missed the 2008 Olympics with a torn labrum, and was not named to the national team in 2012. Early life Nancy Meendering is the second of four children born to Harry and Dee Meendering. She attended Western Christian High School, where she earned two state titles in volleyball and made it to the all-state squad three times. In addition, she is Western's career leader in kills, kills per game and blocks. She was inducted into the Iowa Sports Hall of Fame in May 2012.
