The 2009 Scottish Women's Premier League Cup was the 8th edition of the Scottish Women's Premier League Cup which began in 2002. It was contested by all 12 teams of the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL), with matches played between August and November 2009. Although linked to the 2009 Scottish Women's Premier League which had only one round of fixtures as the schedule was transitioned from autumn-spring to summer, the SWPL Cup was played in its normal format and in the same dates as in previous seasons, finishing a year after the 2008–09 final; instead it was the next edition which differed significantly, as it remained an early-season competition but was completed in the first half of a calendar year; the 2010 final was played only 6 months after the 2009 final. Alloa
Alloa (Received Pronunciation ; Scottish pronunciation /ˈaloʊa/; , possibly meaning "rock plain") is a town in Clackmannanshire in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. Recreation Park, also known as Recreation Grounds, The Recs and The Indodrill Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League team Alloa Athletic, who have played there since 1895. Additionally, Broomhill (formerly BSC Glasgow) of the Scottish Lowland Football League have been groundsharing at Recreation Park since 2016. Rhonda Jones
Rhonda Jones (born 30 March 1979) is a retired Scottish footballer who played as a defender and won over 100 caps for the Scotland national team. A right-back or central defender, Jones played for Tampa Bay Hellenic in the United States. She then captained Hibernian Ladies and played for English FA WSL club Doncaster Rovers Belles, before returning to Scotland for spells with Celtic, Glasgow City and Rangers. Suzanne Lappin
Suzanne Lappin (born 13 October 1986) is a Scottish former international football midfielder who last played for Glasgow City in the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) before retiring in 2015. She began her senior career with Glasgow City in 2003 before spending two seasons in the English FA WSL with Liverpool Ladies in 2011 and Chelsea Ladies in 2012; her time at Liverpool also included a loan spell at Celtic. Suzanne Mulvey (née Malone; born 4 October 1984) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a forward and represented Scotland at the senior international level. Club career Mulvey started her playing career with Hibernian after moving up from their youth teams. In the 2005 summer season, Mulvey played in Iceland with ÍBV (alongside Hibs teammate Suzy Robertson) and scored three goals in ten Úrvalsdeild appearances.
