2009 Russian Premier League
The 2009 Russian Premier League was the 18th season of the Russian Association football, football championship since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and 8th under the current Russian Premier League name. The season started on 14 March 2009 with a goalless draw between FC Amkar Perm, Amkar Perm and FC Rostov, Rostov. The last matches were played on 29 November 2009. On 21 November 2009 FC Rubin Kazan, Rubin Kazan successfully retained their champion's title. Teams As in the previous season, 16 teams played in the 2009 season. After the 2008 Russian Premier League, 2008 season, FC Shinnik Yaroslavl, Shinnik Yaroslavl and FC Luch Vladivostok, Luch-Energiya Vladivostok were relegated to the 2009 Russian First Division. They were replaced by FC Rostov, Rostov and FC Kuban Krasnodar, Kuban Krasnodar, the winners and runners up of the 2008 Russian First Division. Russian Premier League
The Russian Premier League (RPL; , ''Rossiyskaya premyer-liga''; РПЛ), also written as Russian Premier Liga, is a professional association football league in Russia and the highest level of the Russian football league system. It was established at the end of 2001 as the Russian Football Premier League (RFPL; ; РФПЛ) and was rebranded with its current name in 2018. From 1992 through 2001, the top level of the Russian league system was the Russian Football Championship (, ''Chempionat Rossii po Futbolu''). There are 16 teams in the competition. As of the 2021/22 season, the league had two Champions League qualifying spots for the league winners and league runners-up, and two spots in the UEFA Conference League were allocated to the third- and fourth-placed teams. Zvezda Stadium
Zvezda Stadium (), until 1991 Lenin Komsomol Stadium (), is a multi-use stadium in Perm, Russia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Amkar Perm, Zvezda Perm and a women's club Zvezda-2005 Perm. The stadium holds 17,000 people and was opened on June 5, 1969. History The stadium opened its doors on June 5, 1969 with a match between Zvezda Perm and Sokol Saratov. The field was covered with artificial turf in 2005. On August 3rd, 2009 the stadium received the UEFA Certification "Quality Concept Football Turf - 2 stars", which lets the stadium host international matches up to the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals and Round of 16 of UEFA Champions League. Dynamo Stadium (Moscow)
Central Dynamo Stadium was a stadium in Moscow, Russia. It was built in 1928 and held 36,540 people. It was the home ground for Dynamo Moscow. It was central venue of the All-Soviet Dynamo sports society and carried special name of ''Central'' to denote its importance. Until the construction of the Central Lenin Stadium in 1956, the Central Dynamo Stadium was the central sports facility in Moscow. The stadium was one of the venues of the football tournament of the 1980 Summer Olympics. A new stadium was built on the same spot and is named VTB Arena. Arena Khimki () is a football stadium in Khimki, Russia. Located 300 metres north of the Moscow Ring Road, MKAD highway, it lies on the Moscow Oblast side of the border with Moscow. FC Dynamo Moscow (''FC Dynamo Moskva'', , ) is a Russian professional association football, football club based in Moscow. The 2008 Russian First Division was the 17th edition of Russian First Division. There were 22 teams. Teams 15 clubs placed 3–17 in 2007 Russian First Division, 2 clubs relegated from 2007 Russian Premier League and 5 zone winners from 2007 Russian Second Division took part in the league: On 23 October 2008 FC Zvezda Irkutsk had to stop participation in the league due to lack of funds, their main sponsor Interavia airlines is having financial problems at the time. 2009 Russian First Division
The 2009 Russian First Division was the 18th season of Russia's second-tier football league since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The season began on 28 March 2009 and ended on 4 November 2009. Teams The league has been reduced from 22 to 20 teams. It features eleven clubs from 2008 Russian First Division, two clubs relegated from 2008 Russian Premier League, five zone winners from 2008 Russian Second Division and two of the third-placed clubs from 2008 Russian Second Division. Movement between Premier League and First Division FC Rostov as 2008 champions and Kuban Krasnodar as runners-up have been promoted to the Premier League. FC Luch Vladivostok () was an association football club based in Vladivostok. In 2005, Luch won the Russian First Division and played in the Russian Premier League, Premier League from 2006 to 2008. The club was called Luch-Energiya from 2003 to 2018, when it was renamed due to sponsorship from Dalenergo, an energy distribution company. FC Rostov () is a Russian professionalism in association football, professional football club based in Rostov-on-Don. The club competes in the Russian Premier League, playing their home matches at the Rostov Arena.
