2009 CONCACAF U-20 Championship
The 2009 CONCACAF U-20 Championship was the biannual CONCACAF youth championship tournament for under-20 national teams. The 2009 edition was held in Trinidad and Tobago. All matches were played at Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago and Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, Trinidad. The CONCACAF U-20 Championship traditionally serves as the CONCACAF qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, and under the 2009 tournament format the four semifinalists qualified for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which was hosted by Egypt from 25 September to 16 October 2009. Randy Edwini-Bonsu (born April 20, 1990) is a Canadian soccer player who last played for FC Edmonton in the Canadian Premier League. Club career Early career Edwini-Bonsu started playing soccer when his family immigrated from Ghana to Edmonton, Alberta in 2002. He played club soccer for the Green & Gold Soccer Club at the University of Alberta in Edmonton and, from 2004 and 2006, was a member of the Alberta provincial team, leading his province to a gold medal victory at the 2006 Canadian All-Star Championship. Kyle Neville Porter (born January 19, 1990) is a Canadian professional soccer player. Club career Vancouver Whitecaps Porter grew up in nearby Mississauga, Ontario and attended John Fraser Secondary School, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School and Burnaby Central Secondary School, and played club soccer for the Erin Mills Soccer Club and the Mississauga Falcons before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy program in 2007. is a Canadian former professional soccer player who played as a left-back or winger. Personal life Nakajima-Farran was born in Tokyo to an English–Zimbabwean father and Japanese mother. Derek Gaudet (born May 14, 1989 in Bayside, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian soccer player, who currently plays for Halifax Dunbrack SC in the Nova Scotia Soccer League. Career Club Gaudet began his career with Halifax County United and signed in 2004 with Halifax Dunbrack where he played for four years. Gaudet signed a contract with Toronto FC in August 2008. He made his professional debut on 6 September 2008, coming on as a substitute for Diaz Kambere against Chivas USA.
