2008–09 Xavier Musketeers Men's Basketball Team
The 2008–09 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represented Xavier University (Cincinnati), Xavier University in the 2008–09 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, 2008–09 college basketball season. They were led by head coach Sean Miller in his fifth and final season at Xavier. The Musketeers were members of the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at the Cintas Center. Sean Miller
Sean Edward Miller (born November 17, 1968) is an American college basketball coach who currently serves as head coach at the Texas Longhorns men's basketball, University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as head coach at the Arizona Wildcats men's basketball, University of Arizona from 2009 to 2021 and Xavier Musketeers men's basketball, Xavier University from 2004 to 2009 and then again from 2022 to 2025. Miller is a three-time gold medalist as a member of United States men's national basketball team, USA Basketball: once as a player, once as an assistant coach, and once as head coach. The Toledo Rockets men's basketball team represents the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. The school's team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference. The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). They have been a member of the Horizon League since 2020 (departing from the Summit League after thirteen years). The 2007–08 UCLA Bruins men's basketball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the Pacific-10 Conference for the 2007–08 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. In his fifth year as head coach, Ben Howland led the team to its third straight Final Four appearance. The Bruins also set a new record number of wins for the regular season, eclipsing the 26 wins of 2006–07.
