2008–09 Vanderbilt Commodores Men's Basketball Team
The 2008–09 Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team represented Vanderbilt University in the 2008–09 NCAA Division I men's college basketball season. The team competed in the East Division of the Southeastern Conference and finished with an overall record of 19–12 (SEC: 8–8). They were led by Kevin Stallings, in his ninth year as head coach, and played their home games at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tennessee. It was their sixth straight winning season, although they failed to play in a post-season tournament for the first time in five years. The previous year's 2007–08 team finished 26–8 and ranked 25th in both the AP Poll and the ESPN/USA Today (Coaches) poll. Entering the season, Vanderbilt was picked by the media attending the SEC's media days in October to finish 4th in the SEC East, behind Tennessee, Florida and Kentucky. Kevin Stallings
Kevin E. Stallings (born October 1, 1960) is a former American basketball coach, who formerly served as the head coach at Illinois State University, Vanderbilt University and the University of Pittsburgh. He was an assistant coach at Purdue University and the University of Kansas. Playing career Stallings was born in Collinsville, Illinois. He graduated from Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Illinois in 1978, where he played guard (6'5", 190 lbs.) for four years under legendary coach Vergil Fletcher and won three conference championships. The Kahoks went 30–1 his junior season and lost to De La Salle in the first round of the Illinois state tournament, 67–66. Andrew Ogilvy
Andrew James Ogilvy (born 17 June 1988) is an Australian-Irish former professional basketball player. He played three seasons of college basketball for Vanderbilt before playing in Europe for the first three years of his professional career. After a season in his hometown with the Sydney Kings, he returned to Spain for a second stint. In 2015, he joined the Illawarra Hawks and helped lead them to a grand final appearance in 2017. After seven seasons with the Hawks, he retired from the National Basketball League (NBL) in 2022. Benin City
Benin City is the capital and largest city of Edo State, Nigeria. Festus Ezeli
Ifeanyi Festus Ezeli-Ndulue (born October 21, 1989) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player. He previously played five seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Vanderbilt before being selected with the 30th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors. Ezeli won an NBA Championship with the Warriors in 2015. He last appeared in the 2016 NBA Finals, and did not play basketball since his knee surgery in the 2017 season until coming back in 2021. Los Alamitos High School
Los Alamitos High School (also known as Los Al) is a public school for grades 9 to 12 located in Los Alamitos, California, and also serving the city of Seal Beach and the community of Rossmoor. Oregon City High School
Oregon City High School is a public high school in the northwest United States in Oregon City, Oregon, a suburb south of Portland. History Oregon City High School was established in 1885 on the lower level of Oregon City on Jackson Street Due to the growing number of students in the late 1980s, a freshmen campus was established in 1989 at Moss Junior High School on the southeast side of Oregon City and the main campus had just the upper three grades for its last fourteen years. Bradley Glen Tinsley (born May 10, 1989) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was the starting point guard and played high school basketball at Oregon City High School in Oregon City, Oregon, where he was a top recruit.
