2008 Men's European Volleyball League
The 2008 Men's European Volleyball League was the fifth edition of the Men's European Volleyball League, European Volleyball League, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball, CEV. The final Four was held in Bursa, Turkey from 19 to 20 July 2008. For the first time Great Britain joined the competition and it will also enter it as a unified team as a result of a FIVB decision which allows the United Kingdom to play as a unified team in order to prepare for the next 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Austria and Belarus also joined the European League for the first time. The tournament was won by Slovakia men's national volleyball team, Slovakia, defeating Netherlands men's national volleyball team, the Netherlands by 3–1 in the finals. Michal Masny
Michal (; ; ) was, according to the first Book of Samuel, a princess of the United Kingdom of Israel; the younger daughter of King Saul, she was the first wife of David (), who later became king, first of Judah, then of all Israel, making her queen consort of Israel. Volkan Güç, (16 July 1980 in Adana, Turkey) is a Turkish volleyball player. He is member of the Turkey men's national volleyball team. The tall sportsman plays as opposite setter. He studied at Istanbul University. He began his volleyball career in 1994 in Sasa Sports Club in Adana, where he played three years. In 2005, Volkan Güç transferred from Arçelik S.K. to Fenerbahçe Men's Volleyball. György Grozer (born 27 November 1984), also known as Georg Grozer, is a German professional volleyball player of Hungarian origin who plays as an opposite spiker for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and the Germany national team. Personal life Grozer was born in Budapest, Hungary. His father, György Grozer Senior is a former volleyball player and coach. With his first wife Violetta he has two daughters – Leana (born 2007) and Loreen (born 2010).
